Frequently Asked Questions
Before We Work Together
What exactly do you do?
I help clients identify and resolve the underlying issues that are driving anxiety, so they can feel calmer, more confident and more in control.
How does hypnosis work?
Hypnosis is a natural state of focused attention that everyone experiences. It can help people step out of unhelpful patterns of thinking, feeling and responding, making positive change easier than through willpower alone.
Will I lose control during hypnosis?
No. This is an active process and you remain aware throughout the process. You cannot be made to do anything against your wishes.
About The Process
How many sessions will I need?
Everyone is different. Most clients resolve their issue in one or two sessions. Up to four sessions are included if needed.
What happens during a session?
Every client is different, so there isn’t a fixed formula. We’ll explore what is driving the issue, identify what needs to change and tailor the process to your specific situation.
What makes your approach different?
Many people who contact me have already spent years trying to manage their anxiety. While coping strategies can be helpful, they don’t always change the underlying response that is driving the problem.
My aim is to help clients resolve the underlying issues that are keeping the anxiety active, so they can move forward without continually battling the symptoms.
How much does it cost?
The investment is discussed during the consultation, as the first step is determining whether I believe I can help with your specific situation.
Results
How quickly do clients notice changes?
Everyone is different, and we all process things in our own way. Many clients notice significant changes after the first session, while others experience a more gradual shift over the course of the process.
The goal isn’t simply fast change, it’s lasting change. As we work together, clients often begin noticing positive differences along the way, such as feeling calmer, more confident and less affected by situations that would previously have triggered anxiety.
I've tried everything. Can this still help?
Many of my clients come to me feeling frustrated because they’ve already tried a variety of approaches. Previous attempts don’t determine future results, and the best way to find out whether I can help is to discuss your situation during a consultation.
What if the anxiety comes back?
Anxiety is a normal human response, so the goal isn’t to never feel anxious again. The aim is to resolve the unnecessary anxiety that has been causing difficulties and help you respond differently when anxiety does arise.
Clients often find they feel calmer, more in control and better able to handle situations that would previously have triggered anxiety.
Can you guarantee results?
No ethical practitioner can guarantee a result. However, I will always be honest about whether I believe I can help.
